The winner of the Restoration Award 2014!
I took quite a while to come to a decision. Our 28 candidates (for review, click here) gave a really hard time to our top-class jury with their Fiat 500, Fiat 126 or Fiat 600 restoration reports. But now the decision has been made and it is finally determined, the winner of the Axel Gerstl Cup 2014:
We hereby congratulate Mr. Karl Gruber from Reisbach / Germany!
With a total of 376 of 440 points * Karl Gruber has so ago Kokonas Ioannis, Greece (365 points, 2nd place) and Doug Comrie, Australia (356 points, 3rd place) enforced. His well-deserved trophy and a voucher for EUR 1000, - have already been handed over by Axel Gerstl and our team personally. Pictures of handing over the prize can be seen here.

Finally, we would like to thank all other participants of the Axel Gerstl Prize for restoration work for the many interesting, exciting and sometimes affecting restoration reports that will surely remain in our memory for quite some time!!!
* Info: All eight members of the jury had to answer eleven questions about technique, complexity and result of the restoration with a maximum of 5 points each. Hence the maximum high score results was 440 points.
