Caution: Since 01 February 2021, selling battery acid to end users is prohibited as per regulation (EU) 2019/1148. Dry pre-charged batteries may only be filled by specialist workshops. Before buying a dry pre-charged battery, please get in touch with your specialist workshop and make an appointment for filling.
Caution: After the dry pre-charged battery has been filled with acid, it takes approx. 12 hours (post-fill stand time) until it can be activated. Then, the battery should be charged to approx. 10% of its specified capacity for 10-14 hours (i.e. a 45Ah battery should be charged with a charge current of approx. 5A). An equalising charge at a final charging voltage of up to approx. 14.4V would be ideal. Only then, an open-circuit voltage of approx. 12.6-12.7V will be reached after a rest period of 5-7 hours so that the battery is ready for use.
Add a new Battery cable clamp rubber cover, because the old one is usually porous.
New mounting brackets are usually also recommended!
