From Torino to Japan in a Fiat 500 – The Roadmovie Dear Customers, dear friends of the Fiat 500, Fiat 126 and Fiat 600, in this issue, we report about the latest endeavor by our friends from BeRevolution, their plan to create a professional documentary film about their trip from Torino to Tokyo in a Fiat 500. They are currently trying to collect the means for a professional production via crowdfunding. You can read about what Andrea and Luca Bonventres exact plans are here. And of course, we are also proud to present the „Fiat of the month February“ along with some interesting current offers and news concerning the Fiat 500, Fiat 126 and Fiat 600. From Torino to Japan in a Fiat 500 – The Roadmovie Around mid 2015 the two cousins Luca and Andrea Bonventre embarked on the greatest adventure of their life - leaving Torino headed towards Japan – visiting hospitals, schools and orphanages along their way with the intention of collecting pictures and drawings made by children, illustrating their personal dreams. After crossing 14 countries and 26 930 kilometers (16 700 miles) in the course of 370 days, they had collected donations of more than 20.000 EUR for the children's hospital Regina Margherita and reached their destination beginning of July 2016 – as we reported in our newsletters 128, 131 and 136. During their long, exciting voyage, Andrea (a professional photographer) and Luca always had their camera along the way. Therefore, they were able to make breathtaking photos and videos to document their highly emotional voyage. It is this material that Andrea and Luca now want to share with the public by means of a professionally edited documentary. Their goal is to create a film that is more than a simple documentary: a message of hope, a festival of the senses and imagination. They want to show that cultural and religious differences between peoples are easily forgotten, when you come to realize that everybody has the same dreams. Unfortunately, Andreas and Lucas means are very limited, and music licenses, translation and professional editing are quite expensive. For this reason, they have initiated a crowdfunding project in order to finance the production. We at Axel Gerstl were immediately taken when we saw the first trailer, and we wish the BeRevolution team all the best and that this project comes to fruition. P.S.: The italian TV station RAI3 reported about Andrea and Lucas journey in a 10-minute interview on February 12th and included numerous excerpts from their long trip from Torino to Tokyo and advertised their documentary project.
