The "esseesse" kit for the new Fiat 500 Abarth as a world premiere

Abarth is famous as a sportive brand and thats how it presents itself on the Paris Auto Show this year. In the exhibition halls in Paris the new Fiat 500 Abarth is introduced with the 'esseesse' kit for the first time. The red and white stand is also a showroom for sportswear and technical accessoires that were developed by Abarth and its famous partners. The spirit of the brand with the scorpion is in every single one of these products.  

                                                                 

The name of the 'esseesse' kit comes from 'Super Sport' and commemorates the glorious tradition of the brand with the scorpion. The legendary Carlo Abarth fit his Fiat 500 racing cars out with this kit and enhanced the capacity regularly.      

With the 'esseesse' kit the sportive potential of the Fiat 500 Abarth is considerably enhanced. The capacity of the 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine with four cylinders is increased from 99 kW (135 bhp) to 147 kW (160 bhp) at 5.750 rpm. The maximum torque is at respectable 230 N m with 3.000 rpm. The 500 Abarth esseesse makes the sprint from 0 to tempo 100 in 7,2 seconds at a maximum speed of 210 km/h. 

                                                           

The 'esseesse' kit includes parts of the assetto running gear kit which consists of special 17'' aluminium rims on 205/450 ZR 17 Pirelli Pzero tires (painted white or titanium), a sports running gear with lowered springs and a high efficiency brake system. The 'esseesse' stickers on the doors and the engine bonnet signalize the special position of the 500 Abarth.

Better conditions for our scrap-part campaign

The production of original Fiat 500 steering knuckles had already ended in the 70ies. For this reason, it is necessary for us to charge a scrap-part deposit in order to be able to continue the supply of rebuilt parts. Despite the deposit charged, which is currently at EUR 80,00, far too few scrap-parts are returned to us.

For a long time, we were able to have the scrap-parts rebuilt that we found in one of the many italian junkyards. After most of these junkyards are closed now, this source has dwindled almost completely, therefore the availability of rebuilt steering knuckles can no longer be guaranteed in the long run.

For this reason we have decided to initiate our scrap-part campaign:
For sending us your cleaned steering knuckle scrap-parts, we will issue either a refund of EUR 40,00 or a purchase voucher of EUR 50,00 that you can deduct from your next order.

This offer remains valid to 31.12.2008.
