> Picture contest 2013: closing date August 5th!

The big international Axel Gerstl picture contest 2013!

As announced in our previous newsletter, our international picture contest is under the motto:


„Your Fiat for the Axel Gerstl Calendar 2014!"


We are looking for a nice, calendar-compliant* photo of your Fiat 500, fiat 126 or Fiat 600 for the 2014 calendar! At the final voting, the people can choose 10 of the 12 monthly pictures. Two pictures will be chosen by the Axel Gerstl Team. So give your fancy full scope!

We already received a lot of interresting submissions, and until August 5th you can still participate and send your picture!

* The photo should be aesthetic and people should be able to stand it for one month. Besides that, it must be landscape format, 300dpi or more, and it’s not allowed to show displeasing, violent or pornographic content. We will disqualify pictures, if necessary.

Gianluca is on the road, despite problems with the driveshaft!

On his journey through the Western Sahara, Gianluca gained quite some experience:

First, somebody wantet to buy his beloved fiat 500 or trade for a dromedary or a motorbike. Later the little 500 nearly died under the hot sun, so that Gianluca had to stop at Tan Tan Plage.

Actually, there are problems with the driveshaft, so Gianluca headed for a garage at the marokkan atlantic coast. But the guys were not really experienced on how to change the drivehaft on a Fiat 500, so they welded the broken shaft.

Finally, shortly after his arrival in Rabat, the driveshaft broke again. The local mechanic argued that it’s „No porblem, no problem!“ but failed with the challenge.

After a five hours surgery under Gianluca’s guidance, the new driveshaft was in place and the 500 was ready for the road again.

The next stages are Tanger, via ferryboat to Malaga, and finally to Almeria, Valencia, Barcelona and back home to Italy.
